Hyundai Shares Serious and Silly News: A Summary by CleanTechnica

Hyundai, the South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer, has been making headlines recently with a mix of serious and silly news. CleanTechnica, a website dedicated to clean energy and sustainable living, has compiled a summary of these stories.

On the serious side, Hyundai has announced plans to invest $7.4 billion in the United States by 2025 to produce electric vehicles (EVs) and create a domestic supply chain for EV batteries. This investment will create 10,000 jobs and help Hyundai achieve its goal of selling one million EVs globally by 2025. The company has also partnered with Canoo, a California-based EV startup, to co-develop a new platform for EVs that will be used for Hyundai and Kia models.

In addition to its EV plans, Hyundai is also focusing on hydrogen fuel cell technology. The company recently unveiled its next-generation fuel cell system, which is smaller, lighter, and more efficient than its previous model. This new system will be used in Hyundai’s upcoming fuel cell SUV, the NEXO.

On the silly side, Hyundai has been promoting its new “Smart Cruise Control” feature with a series of humorous commercials featuring actor Jason Bateman. In one ad, Bateman plays an elevator operator who is confused by a passenger who wants to go “up” but doesn’t specify a floor. In another ad, Bateman plays a hotel bellhop who is baffled by a guest who wants to go “somewhere nice.” These ads have been well-received and have helped raise awareness of Hyundai’s new technology.

Hyundai has also been promoting its “N Performance” line of high-performance vehicles with a series of videos featuring professional drivers performing stunts and tricks in Hyundai cars. These videos are meant to showcase the capabilities of Hyundai’s vehicles and appeal to car enthusiasts.

Overall, Hyundai’s mix of serious and silly news reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability while also having fun and engaging with consumers. As the automotive industry continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see what other surprises Hyundai has in store.
