“CleanTechnica Reports on Tesla Model 3 and Full Self-Driving (Beta) Performance During 1500-Mile Cross-Country Journey”

CleanTechnica, a leading online publication focused on clean energy and sustainable technology, recently reported on the performance of the Tesla Model 3 and Full Self-Driving (Beta) during a 1500-mile cross-country journey. The report provides valuable insights into the capabilities of Tesla’s latest electric vehicle and its autonomous driving technology.

The journey was undertaken by CleanTechnica’s Director of Research, Zachary Shahan, who drove from Florida to Texas and back in a Tesla Model 3 equipped with Full Self-Driving (Beta). The trip covered a variety of road conditions, including highways, city streets, and rural roads.

According to the report, the Tesla Model 3 performed exceptionally well during the journey. The car’s range was more than sufficient for the trip, with Shahan only needing to stop for charging a few times. The Model 3’s acceleration and handling were also praised, with Shahan noting that the car felt “nimble and responsive” on the road.

However, the real highlight of the journey was the Full Self-Driving (Beta) technology. Shahan reported that the system was able to handle a variety of driving scenarios, including merging onto highways, changing lanes, and navigating through traffic. He also noted that the system was able to detect and respond to traffic lights and stop signs, making for a smoother and safer driving experience.

Of course, it’s important to note that Full Self-Driving (Beta) is still in development and is not yet fully autonomous. Shahan reported that he still needed to pay attention to the road and be ready to take control of the car if necessary. However, he also noted that the system was able to handle most driving situations on its own, making for a less stressful and more enjoyable driving experience.

Overall, CleanTechnica’s report provides valuable insights into the performance of the Tesla Model 3 and Full Self-Driving (Beta) technology. The journey demonstrates that electric vehicles are more than capable of handling long-distance travel, and that autonomous driving technology is rapidly advancing.
