BYD introduces Dolphin in Thailand with competitive pricing equivalent to conventional ICE vehicles!

BYD, the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has recently introduced its new electric vehicle, the BYD Dolphin, in Thailand. The Dolphin is a compact electric car that is designed to be affordable and practical for urban driving. The car is equipped with a 35.2 kWh battery pack that provides a range of up to 400 km on a single charge.

One of the most striking features of the BYD Dolphin is its competitive pricing. The car is priced at 1.19 million baht (approximately $38,000), which is equivalent to the price of conventional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles in Thailand. This makes the Dolphin an attractive option for consumers who are looking for an affordable electric vehicle.

The BYD Dolphin is also equipped with a range of advanced features that make it a practical and convenient car for everyday use. The car comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also has a digital instrument cluster and a rearview camera.

In terms of safety, the BYD Dolphin comes with a range of features such as anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The car also has six airbags, including side airbags for the front seats.

The BYD Dolphin is powered by an electric motor that produces 70 kW (94 hp) and 180 Nm of torque. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds and has a top speed of 150 km/h. The car can be charged using a standard household socket or a fast charger, which can charge the battery up to 80% in just 30 minutes.

The introduction of the BYD Dolphin in Thailand is part of BYD’s strategy to expand its presence in Southeast Asia. The company has already established a strong presence in China and is now looking to expand into other markets. Thailand is an attractive market for electric vehicles due to its government’s support for EVs and the country’s growing middle class.

In conclusion, the BYD Dolphin is an affordable and practical electric vehicle that offers a range of advanced features and competitive pricing. The car’s introduction in Thailand is a positive development for the country’s EV market and is likely to encourage more consumers to switch to electric vehicles. With its advanced features and competitive pricing, the BYD Dolphin is poised to become a popular choice for urban drivers in Thailand and other markets in Southeast Asia.
