EMotorad, endorsed by Dhoni, Unveils Plans for World’s Largest Electric Cycle Gigafactory

EMotorad, an electric vehicle company endorsed by cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, unveils plans for constructing the world’s largest integrated electric cycle gigafactory. The ambitious project aims to rival Ola’s expansion efforts in Pune, positioning India as a global leader in gigafactory manufacturing. With the expansion of its manufacturing unit, the company solidifies its commitment to driving innovation and accessibility in the EV market. 

Sumedh Battewar, co-founder and chief business officer (CBO) of EMotorad, said that expanding the company’s gigafactory is driven by technological advancements, automation, and government initiatives

Gigafactory Innovation:

The gigafactory, spanning 240,000 square feet in its initial phase, will serve as a comprehensive production hub for electric cycle components. EMotorad’s gigafactory aims to achieve vertical integration and ensure the highest quality standards in EV production, from batteries to motors, displays, and chargers.

Scaling Production Capacity:

With an initial production capacity exceeding 500,000 e-cycles annually, EMotorad’s gigafactory is poised to meet the surging demand for eco-friendly transportation solutions. The phased construction approach reflects a strategic vision to scale operations progressively and establish industry-leading manufacturing capabilities.
